NORTH TONAWANDA —

Jeri A. (nee Collins) Smith of North Tonawanda, age 61, passed away unexpectedly January 6, 2014. Jeri was born in  North Tonawanda on September 13, 1952, to the late George and Mary Collins. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School class of 1970. She was a longtime beautician and daycare worker, she had also worked as a clerk at The Book Outlet.
Wife of 43 years to Everett H. "Bud" Smith; mother of Jason E (Irene) Smith and the late Todd C. Smith; grandmother of Mercedes, Brandon and Brittany; sister of Tom (Yvonne), David (Rose), Lori (Shirley Havera) Collins and Jamie Kerr; daughter-in-law of Ada Smith-Miller and the late Howard Smith; sister-in-law of Diane (Bruce) Eisele, Jane (Tom) Redding, Pat (Roger) Strassburg and Karen (Jim) Rucker; aunt of Brendan Kerr Collins, Elizabeth Kerr Collins, Benjamin, Christina, Jacob Collins, Jack, Shawn Perry, Brian, David Havens, Jeremy Strassburg and Tony Rucker.
A private Celebration of Life was held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at www.ocrf.org. Arrangements by Wattengel Funeral Home.
