Major William J. Soltis, USAF (Ret.)

WHEATFIELD — Major William J. Soltis, USAF (Ret.), a career military pilot and veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict, died May 17, 2013, at home in Wheatfield, at age 90. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Susanna (Parobek); siblings Margaret, Suzanne, Emma, Helen, Andrew, Daniel and his daughter, Andrea, who died in 1992.

Survived by his wife, Mary Newland; children, Michael (Kelly) and Linda Lee. Beloved grand-    father of Samantha and John. Also survived by brothers, Robert and Gilbert of Albion, PA and many nieces and nephews, including goddaughter, Carolyn Donges.  

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 23, 4 PM at North Presbyterian Church, 168 Payne Avenue, in North Tonawanda. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North      Presbyterian Church.
