Allan F. Schwinn


Allan F. Schwinn, age 83, of the City of Tonawanda, suddenly, Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his residence. A resident of Tonawanda for more than 40 years, he was the husband of Patricia Ann (nee Krieger) Schwinn who died in 2006; and was the brother of the late Dorothy, Frederick and Robert. Allan was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War and had been employed as an Electrician at DuPont Co. for 45 years.
He is survived by two sons, Robert A. Schwinn of Tonawanda and Eric A. (Christine) Schwinn of Grand Island; four grandchildren, Amber, Ryan, Nathan and Alayna Schwinn; and three sisters, Vivian, Eleanor and Charlotte. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam St. in Tonawanda. Please assemble at the Chapel. The Rev. Msgr. Richard Wetter will officiate. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.
