NORTH TONAWANDA —
Paul S. Kukulka, 62 years old, of North Tonawanda, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 4, 1950 in Niagara Falls, the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Wojcik) Kukulka.
Paul attended Holy Trinity Parochial School, Niagara Street School, Gaskill Junior High School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He played high school football and began playing baseball as a child for little league teams, continuing on throughout high school. He later played softball for Goodyear Tire and Rubber and in various bar leagues until he was 38 years old. He enjoyed studying Civil War history; had a great love for sports, music and music trivia and model trains. On June 2, 1973, he was married to the former Gloria Yaglowski at Ascension Church in North Tonawanda.
Paul is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gloria (Yaglowski) Kukulka; his son, Matthew (Jillian) Kukulka of Lockport; his daughters, Sara Jo Kukulka of Buffalo and Carrie (Joseph) Bowman of Niagara Falls; grandfather of Jackson Matthew and Trevor Jacob Kukulka. Also survived by his brother, Thomas Kukulka of East Amherst; his sisters, Monica (John) Abramaitys of Youngstown, Janet (John) Zahradnik of Blairsville, GA and Lynne (Michael) Ficorilli of Grand Island; sister-in-law, Maryanne Krause of North Tonawanda; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant son, Baby Angel Kukulka; and his brothers, John and Freddy.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, Niagara Falls (716/284-1573). Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 71 Center Avenue, North Tonawanda, with Rev. Dennis Fronckowiak officiating. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
