CITY OF TONAWANDA —
Thomas E. Galley, age 81, of the City of Tonawanda, died on Thursday, March 28, 2013. Born in Buffalo, NY, to the late Michael and Henrietta (Jones) Galley, he had been a resident of the City of Tonawanda for over 55 years, and was the brother of the late Bernice Hamann and William Galley. Mr. Galley was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Tonawanda, and was a life member of Niagara Hose Co. #3, and Tonawandas' Post 264 American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary C. (nee Kantor) Galley; four children, Thomas (fiance'e Dawn Michalski) Galley of the City of Tonawanda, Patricia (Mike) Janowsky of Fort Meyers, FL, John M. Galley of the City of Tonawanda, and Jean M. (Joseph) Santonato of Appleton, WI; five grandchildren, Billy Galley, Ellie and Nate Santonato, and Kris and Tracey Janowsky; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Mia Bruno; a sister-in-law, Shirley Conley; four brothers-in-law, Morgan (late Carol) Maxson, Michael Conley, Al (Maryann) Kantor, and Mike (Carolyn) Kantor; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will be present on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) City of Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 10 AM. Friends invited. Rev. William Miles will officiate. Private burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
