NORTH TONAWANDA —
Chester J. Samborski, 93, of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal rest on September 20, 2013, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Chester was a retired adhesive cook with Carborundum in Niagara Falls, NY. He was a member of the Third Ward Social Club and the last member of the Last Man's Club, Stephen Sikora Post 1322 and Live Hose Fire Company. Chester enjoyed bowling and spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Frances (nee Kozen) Samborski and brother, Edward Samborski. Chester is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Anna E. (nee Gurgol) Samborski; son, Richard (Sylvia) Samborski; daughter, Suzanne (Ralph) Graves; brother, Thaddeus (and the late Lee) Samborski and sister Alice (and the late Albin) Brzezinski. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Colucci Funeral Home, 652 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda (692-4917), where prayers will be offered on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 8:45 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 626 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda. An entombment service will follow after Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined and memorial gifts can be made in Chester's memory to a charity of your choice.
