CITY OF TONAWANDA —
Sheila A. (nee Lavin) Walter, age 68, of the City of Tonawanda, Friday, October 25, 2013, at Crestwood Health Care Facility, following a long illness. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Jean Paul and Mary (nee Walter) Lavin and was the sister of the late Timothy, Michael and Paul Lavin.
She is survived by her children, Elaine (Shawn) Judd of Lockport and Daniel (Sue) Walter of North Tonawanda; four grandchildren, Steven and Nicholas Kirisits, Frank Pitrelli and Daniel Walter; two sisters, Elizabeth (Matthew) Pope of Tonawanda and Mary Lou (Daniel) Del Priore of Wilson; four brothers, John (Kathy) Lavin and Francis Lavin, both of Tonawanda, Matthew (Rosa) Lavin of Texas, and Jean Paul (Lori) Lavin of Tonawanda. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, October 29th, at 1:00 PM in the chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Elmwood Ave., in the Town of Tonawanda. Pastor William Kay will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The family of Sheila wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Crestwood Health Care for their exceptional care of Sheila. Arrangements by John O.
