June A. Taft

NORTH TONAWANDA —  

June A. (Hoxsie) Taft, 85, of North Tonawanda, Sunday (March 31, 2013) after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Taft was born is Sayre, PA on August 16, 1927 to Romeo and Eleanor (Ricker) Hoxsie. June was a former employee of Niagara County Department of Social Services. Mrs. Taft was a member of the Social Does. June was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Taft ,who died in 2012; and her two brothers, Elywn and Howard Hoxsie.
Mrs. Taft is survived by her children, Barry (Tina) and Robert (Claire) Taft; grandmother of Jeremy, James, Elise, and Shannon Taft, Nicole (Dewey) Radford and Corey (Ashley) Taft; great-grandmother of Ellie. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where funeral services will follow at 8 PM. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.
