NORTH TONAWANDA —
E. Ralph Kennedy, age 73, of North Tonawanda, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Warsaw, he was the son of the late Paul and Catherine (nee Ralph) Kennedy and had been a resident of North Tonawanda for the past 50 years. An Army veteran, Ralph was employed at Erie Engineered Products in North Tonawanda before retiring, and was a member of Sweeney Hose Company and the North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent Association. He was the father of the late Paul E. Kennedy, who died in 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Harmon) Kennedy; three children, Maureen (Michael) Jacobs, Patrick (Tina) Kennedy and Michael (Jennifer) Kennedy; two brothers, Michael (Karen) Kennedy and Joseph (Joyce) Kennedy; and a sister, Rita Brown. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Allen Jacobs, Samantha, Madelyn and Jacob Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 3-6 PM on Sunday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If desired, memorials to Niagara Hospice are preferred by the family.
