Louis T. Zwolinski, age 90, of Tonawanda, died on Monday, October 21, 2013 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Louis and Tecla (nee Kaleta) Zwolinski and was a Navy Veteran of WWII. A resident of Tonawanda for more than 45 years, he had been employed at Remington Rand in North Tonawanda until 1976 and then at the Ford Stamping Plant until retiring in 1987. Mr. Zwolinski was a life member of the Grand Island Rod & Gun Club as well as a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion Post No. 1041. Along with his wife, Virginia, he had been a director of the Bridge Card Club at the Tonawanda Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Zwolinski; his daughter, Jeanine (Jeffrey) Justen; and his son, George (Dawn) Zwolinski. Also surviving are six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where services will be held at 11 AM on Friday. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project are preferred by the family.
