Carl G. Miller

NORTH TONAWANDA — Carl G. Miller, of North Tonawanda, age 82, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013.

Mr. Miller was born July 28, 1930 in Buffalo, son of the late Elmer and Mildred (nee Stocksdale) Miller.

Mr. Miller served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.

Mr. Miller retired in 1995 from  SUNY at Buffalo, after 25 years working in the Biology        Department as an electronic's technician.

Mr. Miller was an avid reader and a sports fan. Most of all, he was devoted to his family.

Husband of the late Dallas (nee Sitzlow) Miller, who passed away in 1998; father of Sharon (Christopher) Gibas of Grand Island and Linda (late Raymond) Avera of Lakeland, FL; brother of Elmer (Dortheia) of Columbus, GA and George (Mary Lou) Miller of Casselberry, FL; grandfather of Katherine (James) Gibbons, Kevin Gibas, Stephen Avera, Tristan Avera and Brennan Avera; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call MONDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 307 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held TUESDAY at 10:00 AM, Timothy  Ogden officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
