Martha Marie Schuyler

NORTH TONAWANDA —

Martha Marie (nee Altmayer) Schuyler, age 88, of North Tonawanda, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Schuyler was a past president of the North Tonawanda Senior Center. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and was very involved in the Women's Fellowship. She was a 20-year employee of Ames Department Store in North Tonawanda. Her family and her grandchildren were the center of her life. She was the wife of the late Leaon M. Schuyler who died in 1992.
Beloved mother of Mrs. Gerald (Barbara) Goupil, Sr. of the Town of Wheatfield and Mrs. Richard D. (Priscilla) Hellmers, Jr. of Kokomo, IN; grandmother of three grandsons, Gerald (Heather) Goupil, Jr. and Andre Goupil, both of the Town of Wheatfield and Jason Goupil of Ravenna, OH; and two granddaughters, Tabatha Hellmers of South Bend, IN and Naomi (Ty) Kendall of Kokomo, IN; great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM. The Rev. Thomas Hardy will officiate. Interment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friedens United Church of Christ.
