David J. Myers, age 76, of Tonawanda, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Williamsville Suburban Nursing Home, after a long illness. Born in North Tonawanda, he had been a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. David had been employed at the former Twin Fair in Tonawanda and R.T. Jones Lumber Co. in North Tonawanda. He was an avid bowler and an honorary member of Niagara Hose Company in Tonawanda. David was the son of the late Chester and Helen (nee Bubb) Myers, and brother of the late Barbara Smith.
He is survived by his brother, William (Gail Brown) Myers. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 3-7 PM on Thursday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 7 PM Thursday. If desired, memorials to the North Tonawanda Meals on Wheels are preferred by the family.
