Stanley Martin Kalinowski

CLIFTON, VA — Stanley Martin Kalinowski, 96, of Clifton, VA, formerly of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2013. Beloved husband of 64 years to Amelia Kalinowski. Loving father of Katherine Kalinowski and her husband, Brant Baber; Valeria Short and her husband, James; and Elizabeth Mannella and her husband, Gary Dineen. His son-in-law, Joseph Mannella, predeceased him. Cherished grandfather of John Baber, Joseph Baber and his wife, Mandy Pedersen, Jane Baber, Jordan Baber, Stephanie Short, Zachary Short, Adrienne Short, Matthew Mannella, Emily Mannella and Laura Mannella. Dear brother of the late Florence Wilczek, Eleanor Winiatowski, Valeria Kalinowski and Alfred Kalinowski.

Mr. Kalinowski saw active duty in World War II in the USMC. He was also a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, NY; an original member of the American Legion Stephen Sikora Post No. 1322 in North Tonawanda, NY; a member of the Knights of Columbus, Madonna Council #2535 in North Tonawanda, NY; and a retired employee of the USPS and member of the American Postal Workers Union; and long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in North Tonawanda, NY.

Funeral Mass Thursday, August 8, 2013, at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6720 Union Mill Road, Clifton, VA 20124.  Inurnment will follow in Clifton Cemetery. If  desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Church.
