FT. LAUDERDALE, FL —
Ruby H. (Proefrock) Olgiati, nee (Ruby Helen Hoefert), 91, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Friday (July 19, 2013). Mrs. Olgiati was born on March 13, 1922 to Henry and Lydia (Lance) Hoefert. She was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1939, lived most of her life in North Tonawanda, and worked many years in retail at Bergers, Brandons, Loblaws and Riverside Fabric. She was an active member for over 40 years in Brounshidle Post American Legion Women's Auxiliary where she held all offices. Mrs. Olgiati was predeceased by her husband, Elwin L. Olgiati.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Charles W. (Raphaelle) and Thomas A. (Miriam) Proefrock; also survived by Cheryl Krull and Michelle Darnley. Grandmother of Charles (Renee) and Gregory Proefrock, Kimberly (Mark) Greenfield, Christine Proefrock, Lynn Ann Adkins and Matthew (Kari) Proefrock, and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday from 4-8 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, NY, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM. Interment in St. Matthew's Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Hospice and to the Herschell Carousal Factory Museum.
