NORTH TONAWANDA —
William L. Kennedy, "Bill", age 70, of North Tonawanda, on Friday (December 6, 2013,) suddenly. Bill worked with Solid Surface Acrylics in North Tonawanda and formerly at Lawless Container Company. He was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan through thick and thin. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, playing cards and bowling. Bill was a member of the Renessiance and the Eagles Clubs. He was a proud United States Marine Corps Vietnam veteran. During his enlistment, he served at the White House as a Marine Guard during the Johnson Administration.
Loving husband of Mary E. Kennedy (nee Sykes) of North Tonawanda. Dear father of Michele (Luke) Salerno of East Aurora, Cherrie Kennedy of Florida, and William L. Kennedy II of North Tonawanda. Stepfather of Thomas (Rhonda) Balling, Dr. Timothy (Colleen) Balling, Jeanine (Robert) Pickard, all of Florida, Lisa (Joseph) Klimeczko of Wheatfield, and Mary Jo (Brian "Mike") LaPlante of Tonawanda. Proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Brother of Helena Schuler. Uncle of Michael Schuler.
Friends received by the family on Tuesday, 4-8 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda, where services will be held at 8:00 that evening. Memorials may be made to Chapter 77 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, 47 Main St., Tonawanda, NY 14150
