Esther Jane Coran

TONAWANDAS —

Esther Jane (nee Kartyas) Coran, age 85, of the Tonawandas, formerly of Williamsport, TN, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood. Mrs. Coran was born on May 19, 1927 in the City of Tonawanda, daughter of the late Samuel and Laura Kartyas.
Mrs. Coran graduated from Tonawanda High School where she played accordion, appearing on a local radio station.
Mrs. Coran was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Coran; her son, Michael Coran; and her son-in-law, David Der. Mrs. Coran is survived by her daughters, Candace Coran, Pamela Der, Laurie (Mark) Reber; sons, David (Gerri) Coran, Patrick Coran, Timothy (Sue) Coran, Terry Coran, Alan Coran and Kevin (Theresa) Coran; sisters, Gloria Kartyas, Dolores Bajak and Paula Summers; loving grandmother of eighteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on FRIDAY from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
