NORTH TONAWANDA —
Ann Jeanette Muir Fulcher Vanderlip, of North Tonawanda, age 78, passed away February 22, 2013, at Northgate Manor.
Ann was born February 18, 1935 in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada, daughter of the late Joseph Gordon Muir and Jean (Crawford) Muir.
Ann attended local school in St. John's and in Sarnia, Ontario. She married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Albert Fulcher; the couple immigrated to the United States and settled in North Tonawanda. Ann and her husband raised five children. The family traveled the world because of Ronald's job as a petrol chemical engineer. During those years Ann forged many great friendships with people from all across the globe, friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Ann worked as a bookkeeper for Sinclair Radio Labs in Tonawanda. She was a longtime member of North Presbyterian Church in North Tonawanda and taught Sunday school.
Following the death of her first husband, Ronald Fulcher, Ann married Richard Vanderlip. The couple were married for over 20 years and continued to enjoy family and friends.
Wife of Richard Vanderlip; mother of Catherine Johanson Light, Bruce (Terry) Fulcher, Lori (Kenneth) Hepburn, Sandra Healing and Robin (Mark) Badding; sister of Carol (Harry) Helfenstein; grandmother of Eric, Peter, Katie, Jonathan, Daniel, Sarah, Scott, Bradley, Evan Tyler, Robert, Peter, Michael, Melanie, Mark Jr. and the late Jamie; great-grandmother of 13; also survived by stepchildren and their families.
Memorial services will be held SATURDAY, March 2, 2013, at 3 PM from North Presbyterian Church, 168 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda, the Rev. Stu Buisch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Wattengel Funeral Home.
