Glenda S. Davies

DANVILLE, PA — Glenda S. Davies, 75, of 40 Evergreen Trail, Milroy went home to be with the Lord, at 11:09 PM Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

She was born on May 13, 1938 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Sherwood and Verna (Kresge) Whitehead. Her husband, Irving R. Davies, preceded her in death on August 14, 1988.

Surviving are children, Jean Ellen Savitts and husband, Keith of Milroy, PA, and Teresa Louise Johnson and husband, John Jr. of Reedsville, PA; grandchildren, Luke Savitts and Lisa, Jacobs Savitts and Caitlyn, Chelsea Marie Wagner, Ryan Johnson and Shelby Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Lily Savitts, Lincoln Savitts, Leah Savitts, Jacob C. Savitts and Layna Hoffman; step-great-granddaughter, Gracie Kerstetter and siblings, Raymond Whitehead of Toronto, Canada and Beverly Huels of Orchard Park, NY. She was preceded in death by siblings, Daniel Whitehead, Eugene Whitehead, Yvonne Huels, Jean Manfre, Lois Huels, Audrey Begley and Jack Whitehead.

She was a 1956 graduate of East High School in Buffalo, NY. She was a secretary for Newman Oil Company in Tonawanda, NY.

She will be sadly missed by her faithful companion, "Misty."

A funeral service will take place at 1 PM Friday, December 13, 2013, at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Tonawanda, NY, with Pastor David Huels officiating. A viewing will take place from 11 AM to 1 PM Friday, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY.
