John P. Meholick

NORTH TONAWANDA — John P. Meholick, age 86, of North Tonawanda, Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Northgate Manor, under the care of Hospice. A resident of North Tonawanda for the past 63 years, he was the son of the late John and Anna (nee Kandrik) Meholick and brother of the late Eli, Andrew and William Meholick, Agnes Volansky and Helen Carney. A US Army veteran serving during World War II, he had been employed by Durez Plastics for 36 years, retiring in 1986. John was an avid golfer, Jack-of-all-trades and liked to tinker with any repair      necessary.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris R. (nee Malloy) Meholick; three children, Connie (David) Merchant of Hartsel, CO, Randy P. (Dorothea) Meholick of the Town of Wheatfield, and Diane M. Meholick of the Town of Niagara and his dearly loved grandchildren, Jason and Rachael Meholick of Wheatfield; a sister, Ann (Joseph) Ivoska of Cleveland, OH and two sisters-in-law, Anne (late Andrew) and Dorothy (late William) Meholick, both of North Tonawanda. Also many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St.  (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), in Tonawanda. Funeral services will be conducted at Acacia Park Cemetery Chapel, 4215 North Tonawanda Creek Rd., in the Town of Pendleton, Friday at 12 Noon. Friends invited. The Rev. Jeremy Lopez will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094-1231.
