NIAGARA FALLS —
Sandra Hannold, of Niagara Falls, died peacefully Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Theresa, surrounded by loved ones. She was 72. She was born in Sweden Valley, PA on May 7, 1941, the daughter of the late Arthur and Winona (Newbury) Tracy.
Mrs. Hannold was a long-time and active member of the former LaSalle Baptist Church. Her most loved activity was spending time and making memories with her grandchildren. She worked as a nurse's aide for the former Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's Nursing Home, and retired from the Niagara Falls Board of Education in 2011 as a classroom assistant.
Predeceased by her husband, Alvin Hannold in 1997; her son, Alvin and her brother, Benjamin, Sandra is survived by six children, Theresa Arida (John) of North Tonawanda; Tina Farrell (Jeff) of Lockport; Steven Hannold (Mary) of Niagara Falls; Tracy Augstell of Virginia; Brian Hannold of Niagara Falls; Amanda Hannold of Washington, DC; daughter-in-law, Tammy Hannold of Niagara Falls; siblings, Carol Pitonyak (Brian) of Niagara Falls; Louis Tracy (Pat) of Florida; Doreen Rairie of Niagara Falls; Paul Tracy of Niagara Falls; Robert Tracy (Myra) of Florida, and Christine Hoggatt of Kansas; 11 grandchildren, a great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4, 7-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Funeral services Thursday 11 AM at Rivers Edge Church (formerly LaSalle Baptist Church), 646 Cayuga Drive, with the Rev. Bret Longwell officiating. Please assemble at church. The interment will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston. Sandra requested all wear bright colors to her visitation and funeral.
