TOWN OF TONAWANDA —
Leo A. Ziegler, age 91, of the Town of Tonawanda, and formerly of Palm Bay, FL, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Born in Murphysboro, IL, he was the son of the late John and Martha (Rodewald) Ziegler. Leo was the husband of the late Maxine J. Ziegler; father of the late Lance (late Jean), and Mark Ziegler; and brother of the late Amanda (late Norman) Todd, Lydia Lee and Reuben Ziegler. He was a US Army veteran of WW II and a member of Tonawanda United Methodist Church in the City of Tonawanda.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marion W. (nee Ross) (Miller) Ziegler; two sons, John (Fay) Ziegler of Palm Bay, FL, and Michael (Ann) Ziegler of Dallas, TX; three step-daughters, Deborah (Gregory) Kraemer of the Town of Tonawanda, and Patricia (Thomas) Schulte and Janet (John) Gannon, both of Grand Island, NY; one sister, Alma (late Ralph) Andress; two brothers, Lawrence (Winnefred) Ziegler and Harry (Lynda) Ziegler; a sister-in-law, Susan (late Reuben) Ziegler; a brother-in-law, Ray (late Lydia) Lee; and is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Family will be present on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, at 4 PM at Tonawanda United Methodist Church, 221 Morgan St., City of Tonawanda. Friends invited. Rev. Dorothea Schweitzer will officiate. Burial will be in Fountainhead Memorial Park in Palm Bay, FL. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Tonawanda United Methodist Church.
