Rosie was born on February 28, 1929 and left us on July 5, 2013 after a brief illness. Rosie was the dedicated and loving daughter of the late Frank and Helen Franc. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Donald Whitehead.
Rosie is survived by her loving brother Anthony Franc, living at Elderwood Senior Care in Williamsville. Rosie was the most cherished Aunt of all time and is survived by her four nephews and four nieces, Jerry and Jeannie Whitehead, Gary and Jaci Franc, Nancy and Mike Mulivich, Cheryl and Jim Epp, Peggy Overturf, James Franc, Daniel (Eileen) Whitehead, Robin and Jim Chilton. Her cousin and friend, Patty Sierzenga, was like a sister to her. Rosie is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews. She was a loyal employee for Lawless Container for over 40 years, retiring in 1994.
Rosie was an Aunt like no other! She was like a mother to all her nieces and nephews and her generosity and jolly personality was her trademark. She loved listening to music especially Lawrence Welk and she so enjoyed to break bread with family and friends. Her most famous quote was, "Eat!" Her favorite hobby was QVC shopping and everyone who knew her reaped the benefits. She was loved and enjoyed by her family and will be missed terribly by all of them.
The family will be present to receive family and friends on Thursday, July 11th from 4-8 PM at Colucci Funeral Home, 652 Oliver Street at Fifth Avenue, North Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12th at Colucci Funeral Home at 8:40 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, 626 Oliver Street at 9:30 AM. Entombment service will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Tonawanda. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Rosie's memory to the St. Lawrence Food Pantry, 1520 East Delevan, Buffalo, NY 14215.
