NORTH TONAWANDA —
Ann (nee Sieber) Harmon, age 96, of Tonawanda, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Northgate Nursing Home, after a long illness. Born on "Guideboard Road" in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose (nee Baer) Sieber and was a lifelong resident of the community. The youngest of 14 children in her family, Ann was a 1934 graduate of Tonawanda High School and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. She was the wife of the late Elmer M. Harmon, who died in 1977.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith (the late Robert) Hondzinski and Jean (Dennis) Proefrock; and three sons, James (Cynthia) Harmon, Joseph (Deborah) Harmon and Thomas (Elizabeth) Harmon. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-6 PM on Sunday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda.Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If desired, memorials to Hospice or St. Francis of Assisi Church are preferred by the family.
