NORTH TONAWANDA —
Jay B. Graff, age 88, of Tonawanda, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Levant and Ula (nee McNinch) Graff, and had resided in Tonawanda all of his life. Mr. Graff was a Navy veteran of WW II and had been employed at Remington Rand and then at the Public Works Department in Tonawanda before retiring. He was a lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, a member of Union Hook & Ladder Fire Company for more than 60 years, and a member of the Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent Association. He was the husband of the late Doris (nee Wilke) Graff, who died last year.
He is survived by two sons, Raymond (Marie) Graff and Richard (Annette) Graff; five grand- children, Kevin (Becky) Graff, Leah Graff, Steven (Jamie Kenney) Graff, Danielle Graff and Amanda Graff. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Ben; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, where a prayer service will be held at 8 PM Monday. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to Niagara Hospice are preferred by the family.
