Genevieve Szarszewski


Genevieve (nee Fiedyn) Szarszewski of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Born in North Tonawanda on February 20, 1921, the daughter of the late Phillip and Catherine (Mroczko) Fiedyn. Mrs. Szarszewski was a former employee of the Wurlitzer Co. and Trico Co. She worked at the O.L.C. Bingo and enjoyed playing cards, bingo, traveling and most of all, being with family and friends.
Wife of the late Edward Szarszewski; dearest mother of Jeanette (late Ralph) Perretta of Sunset Beach, NC and New Hampton, NY; proud and loving grandmother of Edward Perretta and Sandra Perretta and great-grandson, Aidan Perretta; dear sister of Helen Drake, Jane Michno, both of North Tonawanda, Stanley Fiedyn of Florida and the late Frances Wolney, Rose Pukalo, Vicky Klukach, Josephine Kowalik and John Fiedyn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
No prior visitation. Family and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on SATURDAY, March 2nd at 9:30 AM. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. Arrangements by the Saber Funeral Home (692-0271).
