The Tonawanda News

Tonawanda News — At least we got answers from Bush, we don’t get no straight answers from Obama and that’s why everyone is turning against Obama. Obama’s approval rating is now at 42 percent ladies and gentleman. So you better wake up.

How come they are calling Obamacare a train wreck right now? Is that because it’s so good? Just like all the other ones he has done, they have all failed.

Recently the Tonawanda News had the parade winners from the Canal Fest parade. But they didn’t have all the winners. It would be nice if the committee gave a full list of all the prizes that were won.

So boso Obama spends a $100 million of taxpayers money on a vacation to Africa. Comes back and plans his vacation for August?

•••

Why is there a constant water leak on Canton Street for months? Can’t they fix it?

Ron Pilozzi stood on my front porch four years ago and told my wife and me he was against the development behind our houses. Now four years later he comes to an agreement with the developer. Nice to know there are some people that will say anything to get elected. We will remember this in November.

Just like I predicted and you printed weeks before the council seat was filled, either I am psychic or this city has become so predictable it’s sad. Republicans, how do we claim there is democracy in NT when one party rules and leaves no fair chance for other parties to participate? Democracy has taken a number of forms, both in theory and practice. Some varieties of democracy provide better representation and more freedom for their citizens than others. However, if any democracy is not structured so as to prohibit the government from excluding the people from the legislative process, or any branch of government from altering the separation of powers in its own favor, then a branch of the system can accumulate too much power and destroy the democracy.

The North Tonawanda government is a secret society run by a Republican regime. They enter into these one-sided agreements with the concert promoter and the marina restaurant operator and the public is never told the terms. No transparency! Another $100,000 going to the benefit of the marina restaurant operator. What are we getting in return? Another economic give away by the mayor and his cohorts. As long as the mayor says it’s good, we are supposed to believe it?

Have our City officials watched the TV news about Elmwood Village in Buffalo and the rain gardens fiasco they put in? Does anyone check with other communities that do them?
