— VANDALISM: On the 600 block of 71st Street at 4:33 a.m. Saturday, an officer noticed an illegally parked car and noticed the passenger side window had been cracked by an apparent BB gun or pellet gun shot. The officer could not locate the owner to see if the damage is new, but it is consistent with a recent string of pellet shots in the LaSalle area.
— ASSAULT: Steven T. Buck, 420 56th St., was charged at 2:02 a.m. Saturday with second-degree assault, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. Police observed several people involved in a fight along the 2700 block of MacKenna Avenue. Buck refused to follow a police order to leave, according to the police report. He was subsequently sprayed with Mace. He later spit in an officer’s face and allegedly punched another officer in the face. At booking, an officer allegedly found a white baggie containing a white powder after searching a handcuffed Buck. Buck then headbutted the officer.
— LARCENY: A car parked in Packard Court was broken into between 1 and 2:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police reports. The Mazda was pried open and $1,300 in stereo equipment, including speakers and subwoofers, was removed from the vehicle. The car sustained an additional $1,180 in damage.
