BLOTTER: Police reports published April 26

CHARGED: Travis A. Downey, 17, 67 Elm St., Tonawanda, was arrested after he showed up five hours late for a court appearance scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday. He was scheduled to answer separate charges of third-degree assault, second-degree harassment and possession of a weapon. He is also being charged with criminal contempt. Downey is being held in lieu of $750 bail.

CHARGED: Cody J. Dudek, 19, 1360 Pierce Ave., was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with petit larceny after turning himself in on an existing warrant. Dudek is being held in lieu of $250 bail.

CHARGED: Daniel S. Heigl, 24, 180 Saxton St., Lockport, was arrested Thursday and charged with violating his probation. Heigl is being held in lieu of $500 bail.

CHARGED: Vanessa R. Smith, 24, 473 76th St., Niagara Falls, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child. Police reports state Smith was found smoking marijuana in public and within five feet of her 2-year-old daughter.

Wheatfield

CHARGED: Christine M. Sperduti, 21, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree menacing endangering the welfare of a child and harassment Tuesday. Sperduti allegedly threatened someone with a knife while an order of protection was in place, according to reports. Sperduti was held in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
