BLOTTER: Police reports published July 1

The Tonawanda News

City of Tonawanda

MENACING: Heather Lantz, 30, 247 Robert Drive, Apt. L, was arrested Monday for third-degree harassment and second-degree harassment. She was released after being issued an appearance ticket.

LARCENY: Michael V. Fiegel, 22, 305 Robinson St., North Tonawanda, was arrested Monday for petit larceny, criminal mischief and obstructing government administration. Police located him after a report of shoplifting at the Dollar Tree on Niagara Street. Fiegel fled on his bicycle before being headed off by an officer who used his patrol car to intercept the biker. Fiegel is accused of stealing an estimated $62 worth of bath/shower products from the store. He was held for court.

RECKLESSNESS: Ajaz A. Mir, 58, 104 Sharon Drive, was arrested Monday night for reckless endangerment after he drove off with his 18-year-old son on the roof of the car.

Officers were called to the home for a reported argument between the young man, his mother and Mir. The report states the son was yelling at his mother before Mir got in the car so he could drive to the Niagara Street police station and report his son’s behavior. But the son, who was not arrested, latched on to the roof of the car and Mir drove north on Sharon Drive for a time between 25 and 35 mph, with his son hanging on, before Mir came to a stop.

“Ajaz said that he tried braking hard at the stop signs located at Alliger Drive, and then the second sign at Fletcher Street, with the intent of knocking (his son) off the hood of the car. This did not work ... ,” a police report states.

No one was hurt in the incident. Mir was held for court.

DRUGS/ALCOHOL/WEAPONS: Three people were arrested Sunday evening under the Delaware Street Bridge for underage drinking, possession of drug paraphernalia and for shooting two juveniles with an Airsoft gun, similar to a BB gun.

The shooters then allegedly claimed to have a real gun in a car parked nearby.

After one of the victims called police the trio’s car was located, parked under the bridge.

Trey Petrina, 18, 327 Kaymar Road, Amherst, was ordered to the ground at gunpoint after he exited the vehicle and approached the patrol car.

He was charged with possession of marijuana after police discovered he had a marijuana pipe in his pocket. He is charged with unlawful possession of alcohol for his role in consuming a quantity of beer found in the vehicle, as well as possession of a weapon and acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 for his role in the non-life threatening shooting.

Renea M. Pedrick, 16, 94 Wynwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda, was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol, criminal possession of a weapon and acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 for her part in shooting the juveniles, as well.

The driver of the parked car, Jeremy D. Daves, 24, 133 Adam St., City of Tonawanda, was charged with providing the booze.

Five Airsoft guns were found in the vehicle.

A police report generated from statements made by those involved states “Petrina went to the above listed vehicle and came back out with an Airsoft pistol tucked into his front waistband. The younger victim pulled up his shirt to scratch his stomach and Petrina whipped out the pistol and shot him in the stomach, leaving a red mark that was observed by the reporting officer. Petrina handed the gun to Pedrick and she started shooting the victims multiple times.”

All were released after being issued appearance tickets.

North Tonawanda

LARCENY: Cody P. Little, 21, 278 South Forest Road, Williamsville, was arrested Monday for second-degree burglary, criminal mischief and grand larceny. He was held for court.

DESERTION: Gerald L. Griffin, 27, 12 Blum St., Buffalo, was arrested Tuesday on a felony warrant posted by the U.S. Army alleging he is a deserter. A supplement sent to local law enforcers from the ‘deserter information point’ located at Ft. Knox, asks that he be apprehended.

Griffin is being held without bail.

DRUGS: Daniel G. Breloff, 18, 256 Niagara St., was arrested Monday for robbery, criminal contempt, petit larceny, harassment and possession of marijuana. He was held for court.

Town of Tonawanda

ADWI: Patrick J. Comiskey, Jr. was charged with aggravated DWI and running a red light at 7:25 p.m. Monday. Comiskey was stopped for passing a solid red light when the officer detected the odor of alcohol, according to reports. Comiskey allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test revealed a 0.23 percent blood alcohol content. Comiskey was held for court.
