BLOTTER: Police reports published July 16

The Tonawanda News

City of Tonawanda

• DISORDERLY: Police on patrol during Canal Fest charged three men at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday in connection with a fight in front of The Griffin bar on Main Street. Clinton C. Plotner, 23, 38 Harvington Road, was charged with disorderly conduct and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He allegedly had a pair of metal knuckles in his pocket, police reported.

In addition, Nicholas M. Oliveri, 21, 72 Kinsey Ave., and Ryan J. Burke, 21, 58 Wabash Ave., both of Kenmore, were charged with disorderly conduct.

The three were observed fighting in a fenced-in area outside of The Griffin. The fight then spilled out into the street. All three were held until sober and released on appearance tickets.

• DISORDERLY: Thomas M. Danwin, 23, 27 Chatsworth Ave., Kenmore, was charged at 11:19 p.m. Monday with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and two counts of disorderly conduct. It was the second straight day police arrested Danwin at Canal Fest.

While patrol was escorting a juvenile offender to the Canal Fest command post, Danwin allegedly approached patrol and began yelling obscenities at the officers. After refusing to leave, police tried to take Danwin into custody, but he refused to put his hands behind his back, according to police reports, forcing officers to force him to the ground, where he continued to struggle with police.

Danwin complained of possible broken ribs while he was at the holding cell at the police station. He was examined by Tonawanda Fire Department personnel, who recommended that he be transported to the hospital.

• DISORDERLY: Rachel R. Boyer, 18, 435 East St., Buffalo, and Carla J. Reyes, 17, 148 LaSalle Ave., Kenmore, were both charged at 9:38 p.m. Monday with disorderly conduct for being involved in a fist fight during Canal Fest, according to police reports. Both were released on appearance tickets at the conclusion of Canal Fest.

• HARASSMENT: David A. Richards Jr., 41, 50 Wall St. lower, was charged at 11:05 p.m. Monday with harassment following a domestic dispute. Richards was held for court.

• MARIJUANA: Raleigh C. Barker, 25, 49 Delsan Court, Buffalo, was charged at 6:40 p.m. Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Barker was seen spray painting a bicycle under the Renaissance Bridge. When patrol approached him and patted him down for officer safety, they allegedly found a small wooden box that contained marijuana, according to police reports. Barker was released on an appearance ticket.

• DISORDERLY: Crystal A. Morris, 17, 49 Central Lane Apt. A, North Tonawanda, was charged at 4:58 p.m. Monday with two counts of disorderly conduct for swearing at officers and refusing to move on after police tried to break up a fight on the Long Homestead Bridge. Morris was released on an appearance ticket after Canal Fest ended.

• DISORDERLY: Police charged a 15-year-old boy Monday night with disorderly conduct during Canal Fest for attempting to re-enter the event after being told not to because he was among 100 people who were about to engage in a fight, police reported. The juvenile was issued a Youth Court appearance ticket.
