Tonawanda News — NORTH TONAWANDA

DWI: Nicholas R. Barnes, 32, of Campbell Boulevard, Amherst, was charged at 3:37 a.m. Saturday with aggravated DWI, no turn signal and running a red light following a traffic stop on Tremont Street. Police said Barnes refused a breath test and is being held in lieu of $750 bail.

DRUGS: Jerred M. Meisenburg, 35, of Schenck Street, was charged at 8:38 p.m. Friday with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said he was arrested following an investigation in the 300 block of Schenck Street. Meisenburg was held for court.

DWI: Kenneth W. Kumm, 31, of Linwood Avenue, was charged at 12:49 a.m. Saturday with DWI, having an open container of alcohol and speeding following a traffic stop on River Road. He refused a breath test and was held for court.

LARCENY: Alina G. Vorobey, 21, of Ruie Road, was charged at 6:25 p.m. Friday with petit larceny and second-degree harassment following an incident at Walmart, 886 Niagara Falls Blvd. She was charged with theft of services after a dispute over payment for a peticure. The petit larceny charge was dismissed outright and North Tonawanda City Court Judge William Lewis granted Vorobey a two-week adjournment in contemplation of dismissal on the harassment count, the terms of which were met and the charge has since been dropped, clearing Vorobey of any wrongdoing in the incident. TRESPASSING: Samuel L. Allen Jr., 65, of Niagara Falls Boulevard, was charged at 3:42 p.m. Friday with trespassing following an incident in the 1200 block of the boulevard. He is being held in lieu of $100 bail.

WARRANT: Ashley A. Williams, 22, of Eighth Avenue, was charged at 3:20 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to answer a petit larceny charge. She was picked up on the first block of Thompson Street and is being held in lieu of $750 bail.
