MARIJUANA: Michael A. Heinbaugh, 27, 61 Hoover Ave., Kenmore, was charged at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana after Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a trespassing on River Road. A homeowner called police to report a vehicle had driven onto their property from an access road leading to railroad tracks behind their home. Heinbaugh told deputies he thought the access road was a public road and before he could turn around his vehicle got stuck. The homeowner told deputies he didn’t want to press trespassing charges because Heinbaugh promised to repair the damage to his lawn. During the investigation, deputies patted down Heinbaugh and found a small amount of marijuana in a pill bottle in his pocket. Heinbaugh’s car was towed away and he was released on his own recognizance.
