Tonawanda News — The Buffalo Sabres announced their televised game schedule for the 2013-14 season. A majority of the games, 70 in all, will be broadcast on MSG Network. The remaining games will be broadcast in the United States on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN). Two of the scheduled NBCSN games may be moved to NBC’s main network as part of its “flex” policy.
The first of the NBCSN games will be their season opener on October 2 on the road against new Atlantic Division rivals the Detroit Red Wings. In all, four games will be featured on NBCSN in October. The Sabres will not be featured on the network again until January 14, when they host the Philadelphia Flyers.
Here are the NBCSN dates: Oct. 2 at Detroit, 8:00; Oct. 8 vs. Tampa Bay, 7:30; Oct. 14 vs. Minnesota, 7:30; Oct. 23 vs. Boston, 8:00; Jan. 14 vs. Philadelphia, 7:30; Jan. 27 at Pittsburgh, 7:30; Jan. 28 vs. Washington, 7:30; Feb. 5 vs. Pittsburgh, 7:30; Feb. 26 vs. Boston, 7:30; March 3 at Dallas, 8:00; March 9 vs. Chicago, 7:30 (NBC/NBCSN flex); April 6 at Philadelphia, 7:30 (NBC/NBCSN flex).
