To the caller regarding the bomb threat at NTHS. The North Tonawanda City School District District-Wide Safety Plan Emergency Management Operations Plan Quick Reference Guide required to be developed (and posted in every classroom near the phone) pursuant to SAVE Legislation Law and New York State Education Department Commissioner's Rules and Regulations can be obtained from the Executive Director of Educational Services, Greg Woytila, by calling the Administration Building at 807-3500. Lockdown is not an option when a bomb threat could occur or is occurring inside a facility. Also, it is unfortunate that there are so many community members who appear to continue to condone improper and illegal professional practices which are compromising the safety of this community's children. It is also unfortunate that this community has a Board of Education who appears to be looking the other way but then, that appears to be their job.
I see the NT school system is considering laying off several positions. This is sad. Too bad they didn't get all the tax money that former Treasurer Leslie Stolzenfels was suppose to collect. They could sure use that money now. Her carelessness cost the school district almost $100,000.
To the person who wants me to wake up, well I have been awake for a long time, and that is why I wrote what I did, and support what I believe. I believe in quality, I don't need 20 or so people showing up when they can or feel like it, I want people who are trained and ready to go 24/7, no excuses no flashy words, no look what I have done for you in the past. That's exactly it, the past is the past. This is modern times, things change, times change. And yes they make a wage, a very good wage and they also earn it. Everyday! One last thing, career firefighters don't just do this on a whim, it's a 20-plus year commitment. I know I sleep well every night knowing that I have the best of the best, It is unfortunate that you don't.
Oh I look forward to the nice weather coming our way. What I don't look forward to is the uptight neighbors. It is so nice when you don't have to look at them all winter! You know the ones, that don't like kids, don't like noise, don't like tiny backyard fires if thats what you want to call them! They basically hate to see anyone having any kind of fun! I say to you people relax a little! Life is too short instead of looking for something to gripe about, when you see your neighbor raise your hand to say hello. You never know it might make you feel good! Stop worrying about the small things in life because in the end I promise you they will mean nothing!
Who cares about Wal-Mart? If it's there they'll come. If it's not there you won't. I hate the Sound Off, can't we abolish it? It's all the same stuff for the last year and a half anyway. I'm bored.
It is Wednesday, March 19. Still snow from March 7 covering the train tracks on Erie Avenue. The train has not run in almost two weeks. Soon the snow will melt and anti-Wal-Mart people will insist it runs 10 times a day and will crush any shopper who dare enter via Erie Avenue. Of course it travels across Niagara Falls Boulevard (when it runs) and nobody says a word.
Why does Bradley Rowles have to have his name painted on every garbage truck in the Town of Tonawanda? What a great idea to have your name associated with trash at every turn in the road.
Ryan Miller is the second best goalie in hockey. Too bad everyone else is tied for first.
Well everyone is praising President Bush. I am not. If you think the other depression was bad, I went through it. You are in for a surprise. Also, where are all our jobs and industry? China. Where kids and younger workers in factories do all the work. Wal-Mart included. This will really knock your socks off because the other depression will look mild in comparison. Thank you President Bush.
