I just wanted to commend the auto repair shop that is on Payne Avenue at Meadow Drive. The neatness, cleanliness and the layout of the garage is excellent. It is really good for the community to see a business take care of their building like he does. Very well done.

There is too much corruption in America today that will destroy America.

Do you people in North Tonawanda realize that with the exception of Bill Gates, Wal-Mart has given more to charitable organizations and the poor than any other corporation in this country and beyond? They have given more than anyone. And you people sit there and condemn the corporation. What have you given back?

How do we stop the insanity with the Albany budget of $1.5 million? When you read an article about the budget cuts in North Tonawanda schools, “the smaller population dropping steadily in the region.” Is this just pure ignorance or unaccountability? Who do we talk to as taxpayers? Who listens?

I, for one, would like to see movies on TV. Who is in charge of that decision? Many years ago, we had movies on almost all channels almost everyday. Now, you can’t even get a movie on a Saturday or Sunday. It is either Tom Hanks or Julia Roberts over and over again. Now, the last two weeks, I see Harry Potter is on. Bring back the movies. Not all of us have cable or a VCR.
