This is to the person who says you are innocent until proven guilty. Sure, of course we are. However, that doesn’t also say that you should be getting paid for a suspension from any job. It seems like teachers, police and firemen are the only ones who get paid when they are not working, and the garbage men. So I don’t know what that has to do with being innocent until proven guilty. You just have a job that you get paid for doing nothing. I think that stinks because my taxes are darn high for these people.

I am definitely going to have to send my kids to private schools to get an education. What makes you think that Tonawanda schools are so wonderful? Did you forget, or not read the paper that Tonawanda schools are at the bottom of the list? Think again.

I’d like to say hats off to North Tonawanda Police Department and Niagara Drug Test for all the raids they did Monday. Keep up the good work, thanks for cleaning up the streets.

If it’s true that we pay as much as $2 tax on a gallon of gas, does that mean that at the Indian Reservation where gas is 10 cents a gallon less that the reservation is making a $1.90 profit off of us? Wow.

The newly planted trees going down Main Street and Wheeler are beautiful, but they should continue planting new trees to beautify the area.
•••
New York State government, they just keep spending. When is it going to stop? When you go to South Carolina?

I’m watching Channel 4 News and they had it on here that the two coaches in Wilson are suspended with pay. Why is it every time a school teacher, policeman, fireman gets suspended with pay when an average person gets suspended, we don’t get paid for this. Why do they get paid? They did something wrong, they should get paid for nothing.

Could the North Tonawanda code enforcement officer please check into the legality of the boatyard on Spruce and East Thompson? All winter long it is a big boat. All summer long it is a small boat. It’s a neighborhood, not a rural property. Get the boats out of our sight. Please, it’s been going on for years. If it’s legal, please have the code enforcement officer make a note in the paper.

So what’s going on now? My car is leaking oil and I can’t afford to get another car, or a couple hundred dollars at least to get it fixed. I’m going to be arrested and fined? Who made this law? What are you mayors trying to do with these small towns? I think that maybe these mayors, especially the one in the City of Tonawanda, should not be voted back in.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I was in Pennsylvania this past week and gas was $3.49 a gallon. Kind of makes you wonder what’s going on around here at $3.75-3.80.
