The next City of Tonawanda common council meeting is Oct. 6, not Sept. 29. The council meets the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7p.m. A previous caller was mistaken when to speak to Colleen Perkins at a meeting.

Can the Tonawanda News please profile both candidates for mayor in North Tonawanda? I know what Mr.Soos has done but I really don’t know anything about the other guy.

I have heard that the president wants to fine anyone who doesn’t have health insurance $3,500. I have a wife who can’t get on my health insurance because I’m on Encompass 65. There’s no way she could pay $3,500 and she can’t afford health insurance. We’re barely getting along as it is with getting her meds and sometimes she can’t get them all.

Rick Davis should look at the neighborhood around Mullen School. There are shared lawns for political signs there, too. It’s common practice, where you have mixed parties and mixed homes. It happens a lot.

Who gives permission for parking in the city parking lot behind the Golden H Center? There’s been a motor home there for more than a month. Who gets special privileges without getting a ticket? I had a friend who visited and they got a ticket.

I’d like to see the City of Tonawanda have a real nice historical society building, like in NT.
