Someone needs to ask GM why American Axle extended GM’s stake. They can afford to do all this and give money to other companies that are suppliers of theirs. But people who work at Harrison and turned to Delphi in 1999, the employees were told if they didn’t get out they’d lose their pensions. So we retired. We worked for GM for 20-something years and now our pensions are going under the government because they can’t afford to pay them. But they can afford to buy these companies and take stakes in these companies and give loans?

I have a proposal for saving money in NT. Let’s lay off some workers in the DPW. The abuse that goes on in that department is unbelievable. That’s why people are seeing trucks parked all over the place, taking breaks constantly.

Just came from the Dollar General in the City of Tonawanda. I’ve complained that you can’t take a scooter or walker down the aisles. Lately, it’s worse than that. If you’re walking down the aisle and you want to see something, you can’t. There’s nothing but stock in the aisles. I believe that the fire inspector should take a look at this building. All the aisles are filled with stock. If there’s a fire in there, you won’t be able to get out.

I can’t understand why people don’t use common sense. I know it’s against the law to use a cell phone while driving. You can talk on the phone while driving and have your eyes on the road, but when you’re texting you have to take your eyes off the road. I’ve seen so many people who don’t pay attention. They should have no problem passing the texting law.
