Even though I have called in many times before on the state of our city, and the lack of progress in the last four years under Pilozzi, we still have many good people working hard for our city. The city treasurer has done an outstanding job in getting our bond rate upgraded. The head of the DPW makes snow, garbage and street repairs first priority, and by far we are better off than more cities. Our state assemblyman has done a superb job on obtaining funds for the Spaulding Fiber project. It is very sad to see North Tonawanda grow and prosper, and Tonawanda going back 10 years in time to little or nothing.

I was just reading the Sound Off in regards to the John Valby concert at the Riviera. Boy, I would have really, really liked to have known about that concert. I’m a huge John Valby fan. I heard nothing about it, and I live in North Tonawanda and get the paper every day. The Riviera has definitely got to do a better job advertising and letting people know they’re having these types of events. I could have had a group of 10-15 guys. We used to go all the time to see him at Melody Fair and it was a great concert, so I’m kind of bummed I missed it. Hopefully the Riviera can step up their advertising, and let people know these things are going on so we can come spend some money.

$300 million! $300 million to assist the Afghani people in their election, which turned out to be bogus anyway. $300 million from the United States! I’ve got to start my own country and have an election.
