We could have a proper burial for the double wing offense. Most importantly, more students would be involved in athletics with a successful, respected coach. But then, the reservation just raises up the price of their cigarettes, and it just puts more profit in their pockets. Government, wake up! All you’re doing is making the Indians richer. So, I feel that they should be paying taxes on cigarettes. Apparently not. And what is this quote from our superintendent: “It will continue to ensure that our students are provided with a first-rate education.” Does that mean if teachers are not paid continually more and more money, they are not going to continue to educate our children? I think not, but that’s the problem with education: Just throw more money at the teachers and things are supposed to get better.
