Tonawanda News — This is to Scott Leffler. I read your article about Hillary Clinton’s support for gay marriage, you should be ashamed. You say that she shouldn’t be a legitimate voice for marriage because of her marriage to Bill Clinton, really? They obviously have worked through the issues that tainted their marriage and they chose to stay together. By your own words you say “marriage is a covenant between two people.” Maybe they believed that covenant was worth sticking to. Hillary Clinton didn’t divorce her husband after his affair, she stayed and is making that marriage work. For you to say that they have a “politically expedient” marriage, I would ask you, when was the last time you spoke to either of them?
I just read the biggest joke of a Sound Off that I ever saw. No doubt — Bob Woodward is thin skinned! This guy hasn’t been relevant since his work on Watergate. His complaint that he was yelled at because of what he wrote about Obama is a joke. Then he runs to the right wing propaganda channel Fox Snooze to air his petty complaints. I saw Sean Hannity eating this garbage up. Woodward blamed the fiscal cliff on Obama. What a joke! Then they make an issue out of the debt ceiling, purposely not agreeing to raise it to put the blame on Obama. Bottom line: they have obstructed this president and Woodward has the guts to blame Obama for not getting things done! Oh well, Obama has put the economy back on track without the help of the Republicans.
Say a prayer for our brave men and women who are still fighting for this country. I am sure they feel good knowing that their government can’t get it together to get things done for this country. I am really sure they were thrilled to know that Congress recessed for a week knowing that there were looming, self-inflicted budget cuts. I am sure they will be happy to hear that Congress plans to be in session only 126 days this year. I am sure they are happy knowing that our country is becoming a laughing stock because there is so much obstruction and self-inflicted wounds caused by the Congress.
