Tonawanda News — To the person who called in about the Bishop Gibbons Apartments: I live there and I find all the people who work here and the management very accommodating. It’s a great place to live.

To the guy who wrote about Mario Williams: The deal is, I live in Houston and we were glad to get rid of him. Good luck, he’s going to need it.

These manufacturers who put arsenic in our food, rice, juices, why aren’t those listed in the ingredients? Why doesn’t the government make them list this stuff so we know what we’re eating?

•••

Here’s a question for the mayor: Why is it we have to pay so much for water in North Tonawanda and it looks and smells like crap?

In reading the article about natural gas bills going up 15 percent this year, but it doesn’t say why. Is it to cover expenses from lawsuits about fracking or is it for greed? It would be nice for someone to explain why we’ve got to pay more when there’s such an abundance, supposedly.

I read in Sound Off a few days ago people asked why not let Chris Collins make money by outsourcing to China. I wanted to let people know, car repair shops have outsourced airbags to China and it’s leading to people’s deaths. Go ahead, make more money on people’s lives.

The person stating Romney was involved in Stericycle and its abortion waste business. Wow. How could you be so wrong? First Romeny left Bain in 1999, months before the deal with Stericycle took place. Second, Bain divested its holdings from Stericycle well before its abortion waste connections. Even your liberal loving publication, Mother Jones, reported: In 2001, the Bain-Madison Dearborn partnership that had invested in the company sold 40 percent of its holdings in Stericycle for about $88 million—marking a hefty profit on i’ts original investment of $75 million. The Bain-related group sold the rest of its holdings by 2004. It was not until six years later that anti-abortion activists would target Stericycle for collecting medical waste at abortion clinics.
