The Tonawanda News

Tonawanda News — I’m awful cold. I wish the Republicans in North Tonawanda would stop causing this bad weather. It’s really bad.

I’d love for the News to ask the mayor in North Tonawanda, why does our water always stink and have a very bad odor to it? I’m afraid to shower in it. They talk about the water in Russia, what about the water in NT? We’ve always had a problem in it. I don’t know what it is, but it just smells.

For the people defending the ones who ride on the wrong side of the road, they do that in summertime, too. It has nothing to do with the snow. They’re always on the wrong side of the road and they come around the corner right at you and you don’t see them until the last second. Don’t say you must be blind if you can’t see them because you can’t always see them.

•••

I’m calling in regards to the gentleman riding on the wrong side of the road, even though it’s winter and he’s riding on the wrong side, who cares? How many times in summertime you see kids and adults riding on the wrong side of the road? Hello? You’re supposed to be riding your bike with traffic. People don’t know how to ride a bike nowadays. If you’re calling about a person riding on the wrong side of the road you’ve obviously got too much time on your hands and I would get a hobby.

I’m hoping St. Francis school wins their fight. They’ve got dedicated people working hard. Father Uebler at St. Francis cares about the people before himself. He’s a model priest and beloved by the school, the parish and the community.

•••

I’m calling about the person talking about tipping newspaper carriers. I don’t tip mine for one reason. I usually get my Saturday paper at 10:30 a.m. and my evening paper around 7:30. If I got it in time to read it while I’m actually eating dinner or eating breakfast Saturday morning, I’d be more than happy to tip my carrier.

To the person who called and said there were two women on the new council who don’t know what they’re talking about. Get all the facts first before you say anything. Go to the council meetings and get the paperwork and you’ll see they’re trying to save the city money and possibly a lawsuit.

•••

I think the city should put building the houses on Little League Drive, put it on a referendum, and have the public vote on it, not the council. Have the public vote, get a right count, and you’ll see a lot of people don’t want those houses because they’ll get a discount. All the people have to have the same amount. I still say it’s not fair to the rest of the City of Tonawanda.

Down in Georgia, all those people stuck on the Thruway? New York learned that lesson the hard way. We shut down the Thruway. That’s what New York does, so people can’t get on it. That’s our plan.
