Tonawanda News — Did I read in the paper the Tonawanda library is going to have classes to teach people how to build bat houses? It’s great people want to have bird houses, but bat houses? Are you kidding me? Bat houses?

Here’s an idea: You have all these college bowl games. I’ve got an idea for the Super Bowl. Why not let some soup company willing to pay big, big bucks call it the Souper Bowl Super Bowl?

To the people on Robinson between Zimmerman and Jefferson, I hope the person who gets hurt because you don’t shovel is one of your own. Thank you.

I attended the council meeting yesterday to listen to mayor Davis state of the city address. I left so disgusted by the conduct of the council president. He was very discourteous last night. I commend council person Koch for sticking to her guns and doing what was right. It appears he doesn’t like it when he can’t get his own way. I couldn’t stay when they went back into the other room but I wanted to tell him a few choice words. Someone should teach him how to respect others. He is out of touch with this city. Time for him to retire. I like the fresh blood that our city has!

Now that the City of Tonawanda has a new council, maybe they can get rid of some of the too numerous stop signs that seem to breed overnight.

I want to thank the two ladies who stopped and helped me when I fell in the snow at the corner of Grove and Broughton a couple weeks ago. I couldn’t get up until they stopped. Tonawanda really has a lot of nice people including my neighbors who help me by snow blowing the sidewalk and shoveling my porch.
