Tonawanda News — This is in regards to the unemployment and raising the minimum wage. I’m all for raising the minimum wage but people have got to think and realize that people on fixed incomes are going to get hurt. Cause you raise the minimum wage up and the cost of everything goes up. It’s a domino effect. It’s going to hurt people on fixed incomes.

I think the reason that they’re closing St. Francis School is because of those Republicans in North Tonawanda. This is not a Democrat saying this, it’s an independent.

Does anybody have to go back to learn how to drive? I thought it was when you make a turn into your driveway or wherever you are turning that you’re supposed to notify people driving behind you at least 20 or 50 feet before. Three people today waited until the last minute to make their turns or put their turn signals on and I almost rear-ended them. Use your turn signals and if you can’t then you shouldn’t be driving.

I’m a news carrier and I have been for seven years. My newspapers are delivered almost everyday before noon and my weekend papers are delivered before 8:30 when they are supposed to be. I have some customers who have never tipped me in seven years, not even at Christmas. So yay, yay mailman.
