The Tonawanda News

Tonawanda News — So the NT Police Department SWAT team is going to be in our neighborhoods shooting deer. What the heck is wrong with the common council to go along with this? Have a special permit issued and have bow hunters pay for these permits. At least we won’t have to duck our heads when someone misses with a high caliber round.

The city-owned sidewalk at Spaulding Fibre is not plowed. I fell walking to work. If I do not shovel my sidewalk, I am cited. The mayor must have double standards. Same old story. Nothing changes.

In another newspaper it says that former Mayor Pilozzi was hired by Grisanti to meet with advocacy groups and help veterans. He didn’t do that when he was mayor. What makes him qualified to do that now?

Today, Sunday, March 2, I attended a basket raffle to benefit an NT High School sports team. I believe it was run by the booster organization. It was a shame that they sold alcohol at a high school event. There were several people there who had entirely too much to drink. The three women sitting at the end of our table were truly out of control, loud and using profanity even though there were many small children in the crowd. To those in charge please try and understand that alcohol at a high school event should not happen. It started at 2 p.m. and I truly do not see any reason for the serving of alcohol.
