Tonawanda News — The pope says “Who am I to judge?” Why not him since people think he is God? Better yet, we should let the Scriptures judge.

In regards to the NT student sending that terrible Twitter message: He should be punished as far as the school is allowed to go with it. I was at that game, and the parents, siblings and students from Ken West were absolutely horrible. The foul mouth language coming from all, especially parents and siblings, was disgusting. This is a school sport. Don’t you realize that you are ruining it for the students that are playing? If you can’t keep control of your mouth and actions, you shouldn’t attend the games and spoil it for the players and others that are there to enjoy the game. The school and authorities that are present need to be more proactive and throw out the spectators that are violating any of the rules. Really parents, control yourselves, this is for the players, not you!

In response to Ed Adamczyk’s Friday opinion column on our snowy weather (”Not fit night for man or beast”), I must offer a differing opinion. I am so sick of hearing people complain about the snow, which just builds on a common trait from people who seem to be able to complain about anything that is not all perfect and comfortable all the time, and reinforces negative stereotypes about Buffalo. Many of us love the snow. I have been loving this recent wave of cold snowy weather, especially right before the holidays. I love hearing the crunch of cold snow under my feet as I walk into work in the morning. I love being out in the evening after clearing the snow from my driveway and the sidewalks around my house and just taking in the beauty of the quiet, clean, snowy neighborhood that only looks like this a few times a year. What a shame that people like Ed can’t seem to enjoy the beauty of the snow and the way we handle it here without missing a beat.
