Tonawanda News — Would people please start sending Christmas cards before there is no such thing as the United States Post Office.

I too agree that there should be a raise in the minimum wage however, these people who are demanding $15 an hour for flipping burgers are unrealistically asking for the impossible. People who work as care aids in nursing homes, hospitals and home care have much more responsibility and do much more service for the people that are in those situations and need medical assistance and they don’t make that amount of money. Do what I did when I raised four kids. Get a second job or third job. Or also do what I eventually did. Go to college, business school or a trade school.

Please people in the City of Tonawanda, especially the people that live on Niagara Street in the City of Tonawanda, please shovel or snowplow the sidewalks or if you can’t do it have someone come and do it. The City of Tonawanda used to have a snowplow for the city that used to come and plow the sidewalks but I don’t know, I guess they like taking care of the River Walk instead of the sidewalks. It’s too dangerous for the pedestrians to have to walk in the streets.

To all you people on Robinson between Zimmerman and Jefferson, please shovel your sidewalks. You know who you are. It’s the same people year after year. Please shovel your sidewalks so I don’t have to walk in the road and get run over. Thank you.
