Tonawanda News — Tonawnda’s police chief says red light cameras are needed at Niagara, Seymour and the Twin Cities Memorial Highway at Young Street because they are too hard to patrol. Cars are running the intersection at Delaware and Delton or making right turns without stopping every morning. This intersection is not difficult to patrol. I wonder if any attempt was made at the previous mentioned intersections?

I read with interest the article by the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank chastising Christie, McDonnell and his wife of Virginia and Glenn Beck. While not condoning any of their actions I am left to wonder why he doesn’t write about Benghazi, IRS, snooping and fast and furious scandals of this administration. At least Christie and Beck have said they take responsibility whereas Obama and his administration have never once stood up and taken any responsibility whatsoever. You lose all credibility, Mr. Milbank, when all you do is chastise the right by ignoring the bad in the left. This country is in the state we are because of left wing people like you who are closing their eyes to everything the left does because that’s who they are. Shameful.

We had a water main break on Friday. Erie County people were here fixing the pipes late at night. It was freezing out. My councilwoman also came to talk to them. I have never seen such dedication and compassion from my councilwoman. Thank you, Ms. Koch, for coming to check on us and update us. We are lucky to have you.

The state DOT’s number is 1-800-Pothole. I called about the large potholes on Brighton Avenue in Tonawanda off Delaware Road and up to Colvin Boulevard in December. I almost lost a new $80 hubcap. Brighton Avenue is far worse. I don’t know if any potholes were filled then. There is a 311 number for the Buffalo area as well. This winter weather is causing all this damage to our roads but still we should report damages and hope work crews will respond.
